Hello,
I don’t think a complete roof frame can really be "renovated." Replacing individual rafters is fine, but if they’re all rotten or decayed... In any case, it will be quite a bit of work and expense: a new roof frame, new membrane, and I think the battens will need to be replaced as well. If the roof tiles are still usable, even better—you’ll save at least a few thousand euros. However, a professional should definitely take a look, since the roof is one of the most important parts of the house.
Best regards

Hello,
I have now had a professional company visit, and they believe everything needs to be removed and replaced. I haven’t received a price yet; they will send it to me by mail. I’m curious to see how much this will cost. Just thinking about these unplanned expenses is making me feel uneasy already.
Regards
Inge
