ᐅ Room thermostat/individual zone control for underfloor heating next to the door?

Hello.
We had a discussion with our electrician for our new build. He recommends not integrating the room thermostats into the switch panel (next to the doors). Instead, he would install the switch panel about 20cm (8 inches) away from the door at a height of 1.15m (3 ft 9 in). Then, with a distance of 15cm (6 inches) from that, the room thermostat would be mounted at a height of 1.5m (4 ft 11 in).

Does that make sense? I’m a bit concerned that the thermostat would only be about 35cm (14 inches) from the door. From what I’ve read, it’s best to avoid drafts and installation close to doors. After all, a door can be left open, especially with children around. Is a 35cm (14 inches) distance from the door to the individual room controller sufficient to ensure the functionality of the room thermostats? What do you think?

Best regards

I also think he didn’t understand something.

How is that supposed to happen in a sealed building envelope? Please keep in mind that large temperature differences like in older buildings are no longer really possible.

Of course, they can be made higher, which is also user-friendly. But they should be aligned neatly in a vertical line and not staggered. That’s what I meant, as I have unfortunately seen almost everything, including such constructions. If it’s going to be done like that, I’m curious to see how the rest will turn out. Usually, people who do this (no offense intended) don’t have much sense for geometric forms. But maybe I’m just very particular about this.
