Hello house-building community…

I’m glad to have found this forum 😀

Soon, the construction of our new single-family house will begin. Most of the work will be carried out by the contractor, but we still have some tasks to do ourselves, such as the electrical installation.

As part of the electrical work we’re doing ourselves, I also need to install the room temperature control for the underfloor heating. Our open-plan living/dining area with kitchen will be about 60m² (645 sq ft), and several heating circuits will certainly be installed there. At the moment, I expect there will be at least three heating circuits for the living/dining area.

And here are my first questions:

Does it make sense to control the three heating circuits together with one room temperature controller?

Or is it better if each heating circuit has its own room controller so that I can heat in “zones”?

Regarding the installation of the room temperature control
I would prefer to have the temperature control installed centrally in the living/dining area. If there was a controller for each heating circuit in this area, that would logically mean three controllers mounted side by side or stacked vertically, plus possibly an additional controller for the kitchen. I don’t like that setup, so I’m looking for a room temperature control system that allows me to individually control multiple heating circuits separately. Does such a system exist?

Best regards to everyone in the forum 🙂
