Has anyone ever used a mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery to distribute room fragrances? What should be considered to ensure the scent is not overpowering? Do the ducts suffer any damage from the fragrance oils?
In my opinion, this is fairly common in show homes.

I would also strongly recommend asking the manufacturer of your ventilation system if you really want this. However, I don't think it is very beneficial for health. It would be better to plant a lavender bush in front of your intake.

Allthewayup10 Nov 2024 21:25The Air Balance package from Mercedes includes a ventilation scenting feature. That was the first thing I disabled after buying the car. I didn’t even know about it when I purchased it; I only noticed it when I opened the glove compartment and saw the fragrance bottle.
I think having scenting in a home ventilation system is only enjoyable for a short time. I’d much rather use an activated carbon filter and enjoy the best air quality—especially now that everyone is lighting their fireplaces again. I keep all the windows tightly closed and take deep breaths at home—it’s wonderful.
