Hello,

In our new build, we have two roof windows. These need to be insulated around the outside. The whole area must be protected by a vapor barrier.
Am I allowed to simply drive the nails for the boards above through the vapor barrier? There will be an airtightness test for the house...
Or how should I do this correctly?
Thanks and good luck

There is special sealing tape that you can apply over the nails.

Thank you for your response. So the sealing tape is then applied to the membrane? Since the nails come through the boards from above... Do you know the name of the sealing tape?

Hello,
check with the manufacturer of the vapor barrier. They usually recommend the suitable adhesive tapes or edge sealing adhesives.
