Hello,
we are currently planning our house construction and have already reserved a plot of land.
The building regulations state that only non-glossy red, orange, and brown shades are allowed as colors for the roof.
However, we would prefer anthracite with a glossy finish, or at least glossy dark red!
Our builder said it might be possible to try to obtain a special permit through the architect. Has anyone had experience with this?
Are there possibly other options?
Two of the houses already standing there have glossy dark red roofs; in one case, I know the owner is just hoping not to have to reroof. In the other case, I’m not sure whether a special permit was granted or not.
Does anyone have helpful advice, or is there absolutely nothing that can be done?
Kind regards

We are also not allowed to have glossy finishes. For us, the best compromise was satin finish. It was still far from glossy, but better than nothing 🙂

I’m not exactly sure about the specifications. However, there is also the finish called “satin.” These do have a slight sheen but not as much as high-gloss finishes. We have “deep black satin.” Ask at the building authority / planning office or have the architect inquire. Maybe this compromise will be accepted.

I even have a picture for direct comparison. It's anthracite, but it compares "untreated" with silk matte. Both have exactly the same color. The lighting might not be ideal, but maybe it helps.

Wow, thank you very much for your effort =)
I will contact the building authority tomorrow right away.
The building regulations state the following verbatim:
Roof coverings are only permitted if they are non-glossy and made of fired clay or concrete in the following colors according to the color register RAL 840 HR....

That's the same for us as well. Only the color selection is different.
