Today, during a conversation with a client, I noticed something.
Our windows are anthracite, and we want the window sills and roller shutters to match.
I read that the anthracite roller shutters are made of aluminum, unlike the standard ones, which are plastic.
Do you have any experience with aluminum roller shutters? Do they rattle in the wind or have other issues?
Or do they even offer advantages compared to plastic roller shutters?

Chriscross15 Sep 2016 14:05I have not seen something like this myself, but regardless of my assumption, a friend of mine has made the same claim. I don’t know if it corresponds to reality, but I can well imagine it. Fire is not loud.

A plastic roller shutter can easily be pulled out by a determined burglar. Is it more difficult with (stiffer) aluminum? Probably.
For colored windows, aluminum shutters are usually recommended because they retain their color better. Plastic roller shutters are also available in color, but strangely, the shade is somewhat different from the window frames. They also tend to fade more quickly.
