for the construction of the roller shutter boxes and the shelf ledges between the floors, we were offered one option with the polystyrene version (such as from the company Lohrelement); another builder prefers roller shutter boxes and shelf ledges made of brick.
Does anyone have experience or knowledge about these solutions?
What are the respective advantages and disadvantages?

Calling myself an expert might be an exaggeration, but in my case, the brick roller shutter boxes plus insulation plus bricks have been installed. I like this solution, but it is somewhat more prone to errors because it is more complex—and tradespeople often tend to work quickly rather than carefully. However, with proper supervision, it works fine—and I’m satisfied. :-)
