Hello,

We built a Swedish-style house in 2010 and still have about 10 rolls of Rockwool insulation left from construction.
I would now like to use this mineral wool to insulate the attic.
The reason is simple: the mineral wool is already up there, otherwise I would have to carry it down, somehow sell it, buy batts, and carry them back up again.

Since the mineral wool doesn’t fit snugly between the rafters, I thought I could staple the vapor retarder membrane in sections and then fill the insulation in behind it.

What do you think of this approach?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Martin

Nothing... Rockwool provides installation guidelines, including for roofs... just have a look...
