In our multi-family house, there is an old Rittal intercom system, model number 6000/6001, with a doorbell installed. One family member came up with the idea to remove the intercom on the first floor and install a different doorbell. Unfortunately, it did not work as expected, and restoring it to its original state was not possible because the original setup was neither remembered nor photographed.
Since then, the door opener function on the first and second floors no longer works, but it still functions on the ground floor. The doorbell works on all three floors. We are trying to fix the problem through trial and error but have had no success so far. I have also started searching online, but for such an old intercom system and this very specific problem, I can’t find anything. All fuses are intact. When comparing the cables, their colors don’t match as expected, as can be seen.
Do you think you can identify the issue from the attached pictures and whether the wiring is correct?
Alternatively, I am now considering investing money to replace the entire system. However, I would need a system that is compatible with the existing wiring, or would I have to pull new cables through the conduits? Keyword: intercom system.
Do you have any advice or product recommendations in this case?
Best regards and thanks!
