kati1337Hello everyone,
we have installed Ideal Standard Connect wall-mounted toilets with "Aquablade" in our house, identical models in the bathroom and the WC.
While everything works perfectly in the bathroom, we have a problem in the WC where water runs out sideways during flushing. I have attached some pictures.
We can be fairly sure that this is not a design issue (since we have two toilets and one of them works fine). Still, we wonder if this is just a faulty unit or if there is something we can do ourselves to fix it.
The toilet is rimless and has only a narrow slit for flushing. I once cleaned the back edge with a very fine brush. After that, it seemed better for a while and I thought the problem was solved. But recently it started again. This time, not just a little, but a significant amount of water runs out sideways. Has anyone experienced a similar issue? How can this be solved? Could it be that something is stuck underneath the narrow flushing slit from manufacturing, causing the water not to flow correctly?

When we got a rimless toilet, the installer told us to get in touch if any water leaked. Then he could adjust the water volume during flushing. So maybe you’re just getting too much water, or it’s not installed perfectly level, or something like that... I would contact the installer, they should be able to fix it. Especially since there’s no problem with the same model in the other bathroom.

A small update on this: We tried adjusting the flush water volume in this tank, but it didn’t lead to any lasting improvement. We contacted the manufacturer, who sent us a kind of plastic disc without any explanation. I assume it’s meant to reduce the water pressure slightly? Now we just need to get the installer back to fix it. They’re always extremely busy, and by now we’ve kind of fallen off the radar since we’re considered “completed.”
