Hello,

A few weeks ago, the construction work (exterior wall insulation and new windows) on the house where I rent was inspected and accepted by the architect and the property management.

Apart from the fact that the result is far from attractive, wasps have now started nesting in the insulation, making the use of the balcony quite stressful due to their increasing presence. Okay, the wasp problem should naturally resolve itself in autumn, but both my landlord (the apartment owner) and I are wondering whether the result (see photos) is acceptable, and we would appreciate your opinion.

Regards

Was the terrace flooring already in place beforehand?

Yes. Along the house wall, there was originally a narrow row of paving slabs, which were removed due to the insulation.

So, anyone who isn’t blind can already see that some work still needs to be done. However, we don’t know what exactly was ordered. It’s still the landlord’s responsibility, who apparently seems a bit overwhelmed by the task.
Tell her that it is not finished like this. Something probably needs to be done at the window by a landscape gardener, and at the base, I see poor workmanship by the plasterer.
P.S. I am an amateur!

The joint needs to be sealed. Metal flashing or something else. Contact the property manager!

@ypg
The building management commissioned the installation of exterior wall insulation and window replacement on behalf of the individual apartment owners. According to the building management and architect, the construction work has been completed.

What about the wasps that have now nested in the insulation?
