in addition to the solid construction house offers from local builders, we are also, out of interest, obtaining quotes from Keitel-Haus, Bien-Zenker, and Rensch-Haus.
Basically, both solid construction and timber frame construction have their pros and cons; for us, the latter would definitely be an option.
Does anyone know how the resale value compares? Is it really significantly lower than solid construction? Or is that just a prejudice?

Hello Andreas,
I once read a study by IFB Hannover (Institute for Building Research) on this topic (I believe from 2008), which compared the costs of solid construction houses and timber prefabricated houses. It might be interesting for you to take a look. I can’t say whether the study is conclusive, but in my opinion, it does provide some insight.
I’ll send you the link in a private message.
Regarding resale value, I would say that the location of the property plays a significant role.
