Hello,

I have a question for the group regarding your dining area. How wide do you think the dining space should be (space between the wall/window and the kitchen counter)? We have planned 3.5 meters (11.5 feet) for the table, chairs, and a passageway to the garden. However, I’m not quite sure if that will be enough. In theory, I could gain about 30 cm (12 inches) more and adjust the kitchen layout accordingly.

Will there also be chairs at this kitchen counter? With a kitchen island, you would have more space in the dining area, and the awkward corners of a U-shaped kitchen would also be eliminated. With 90 cm (35 inches), no one can walk behind the chairs anymore.

Best regards
Sabine

There would be 2 bar stools, but they completely tuck under the counter and don’t get in the way.
However, this very counter is now under consideration.

The sliding door opens on the right side. Due to the table position, it would be better if it opened on the left (chair at the head end). Unfortunately, you can’t see how the furnishing continues on the left side.

The terrace is supposed to be at the bottom of the plan, right?

The left panel of the sliding door opens.
This is how it is intended to look in the future.

I'll send you a private message later with a photo and measurements. That way, you can get an idea.

That would be great. Thank you very much.
