ᐅ Replacing an Ikea dishwasher – what should be considered regarding the water connections?

DecrayerHello,
I have an IKEA kitchen with a Whirlpool DWF 407 dishwasher and the IKEA water connections under the sink. Unfortunately, after about 7 years, the dishwasher broke down and caused a flood. It will now be replaced by a Bosch SPU53M55EU built-under dishwasher.
I have the following questions:
What is the best way to drain the water from the dishwasher’s internal water tank? I couldn’t find any information on this in the Whirlpool manual (which is very limited in details).
What should I consider regarding the water connections? When I recently went to the hardware store looking for an additional part for the drain manifold (the device with three connections under the sink where the dishwasher drain is attached), they told me that IKEA does not use standard fittings. IKEA also does not have spare parts like that. So my question is: How can I connect the Bosch dishwasher to this? What parts do I need and where can I get them?
I have very little knowledge about this whole topic and only made sure the replacement appliance has the same dimensions as the old one when ordering. I would really appreciate some advice.
Regards,

do you mean the ion exchanger when you say water tank? Why does the water need to be drained? Just put the appliance outside for collection, and that’s it.
Why do you need an additional connection for the drainage? The new machine usually connects to the same spot where the old one was connected.

At the bottom, where the salt has to be poured in, there is water inside. Shouldn’t this be removed if I want to have the machine picked up?
Regarding the drain, I don’t need an additional connection, but I am concerned whether the new machine will fit there. When the old machine broke down, I wanted to buy a drain plug for under the sink at the hardware store. Although I found such plugs, none matched the pipe dimensions from IKEA. So now I’m worried that the new machine might not fit. Or are these concerns unfounded?

And for the drain, I don’t need an additional connection, but I’m concerned whether the new machine will fit there. When the old machine broke, I wanted to buy a blanking cap for the sink drain at the hardware store. They had caps, but none that fit the pipe dimensions from IKEA. So now I’m worried the new machine might not fit. Or are these concerns unfounded?Wait until the machine arrives and then take it from there. The Atlant siphon offers multiple connection options. One of them will fit.
