ᐅ Replace the roller shutter strap or switch to electric operation?

Hello everyone,

Wishing you a healthy, happy, and prosperous New Year!

I want to replace the belts for the roller shutters. I have no idea how to do it 🙂
Before I start, I would like to know what makes more sense. Should I just replace the belts or switch to electric operation right away?
Is it possible to replace the shutter slats later if an electric motor is installed?

We have narrow windows/doors, as you can see in the photos, but also two windows that are four times as wide as the ones in the pictures.
