Hello,

After removing the old tiles and renovating the bathroom, some areas have appeared where the existing scratch render is damaged or partially removed (see photos below). I roughly measured the texture grain, which is about 2–3mm (0.08–0.12 inches).

The question is whether and how such areas can be repaired. My idea was to remove the scratch render around the damaged spots, perhaps 2–5cm (1–2 inches), which can be done fairly quickly with some water and a spatula, then prime the area and apply new scratch render. Maybe the edge between the old and new scratch render could be treated with a brush to make the transition as inconspicuous as possible.

Or is there another solution?

Thank you.
