ᐅ Removing/Dismantling IKEA UTRUSTA Hinges in a Metod Kitchen

Hello dear community,

I need your help. I want to remove the Utrusta hinge from my Metod cabinet. Unfortunately, I am unable to do so. I have looked at the assembly instructions:

but I am still not quite sure how to proceed.

Hello,

The installation and removal of these concealed hinges is tool-free. You need to open the cover of the hinge cup (although the Ikea instructions show a tool aid—a screwdriver—for this). This cover spreads the pins, which are used instead of screws, when closing it.

I think you can get an idea of the principle here. The hinge cup is then pulled out of the door. However, some force is still required to remove the hinge cup, even when the pins are not spread.
