Hi,
I have also tried quite a few things. Baking powder, vinegar solution, and so on. The results were moderate. Now I received a tip to use a green algae remover. I then bought a 5-liter (1.3 gallons) container from Hornbach. It cost 11.50 CHF back then. I applied it with a brush and let it sit for 2 days. Wonderful, everything is gone.

Thank you for your suggestion. I am experiencing the same problem. I am planning to visit Hornbach next week and hope they have this green algae remover available. The price also seems reasonable.

herrmann-112 Jul 2015 08:34Hello,
That’s a good tip, as I also need to do something about these ugly stains. Now I have to check if I can find a green algae remover like that at Hornbach. Maybe it’s available at another DIY store as well.
Best regards and have a nice Sunday.
