Hello everyone,
I wanted to ask if we need to remove the adhesive residues from the PVC/laminate on the screed before installing click-lock parquet flooring? That seems quite labor-intensive, and just tearing up the laminate alone will take ages...
The laminate is apparently from 1960.
We will likely have underfloor heating milled in some rooms and then install parquet on top. In the other rooms, radiators will remain, but parquet will still be installed.
I’m curious to hear your thoughts.
Attached is a picture of the floor.
Best regards,
Matt
PS:
Can you tell from the pictures whether the boards or the adhesive might be asbestos-containing?
I will have to send a sample for analysis anyway (the milling company requires this).
But maybe an expert can already tell from the photos.
