parkett1-12 Feb 2011 20:15We have found a defect in the parquet flooring of our new apartment and are wondering if this is simply a manufacturing fault. Since we are renting, we also wonder how we should phrase this so that we do not risk being held responsible for the issue.

Since I do not know which type of parquet flooring you have, how thick the wear layer is, or the surface treatment, I cannot comment on the possible cause of the detachment.
However, since you are renting, you should report this issue in writing to your landlord – otherwise, you may be blamed for the detachment later on.
