Happy New Year to everyone,

I am currently looking into the best way to operate the blinds. At the moment, there are standard switches planned, with no central control. I am considering a wireless solution. Is it possible to replace the existing switches with wireless switches so that the blinds can be controlled wirelessly throughout the entire house? I have seen online that this is feasible, but nowhere is it explained how complex the process is or what the approximate costs are. Maybe someone has a tip on where I can get advice besides online sources. My electrician is not very flexible and offers everything at a fairly high price.

Thank you!

Have deep electrical boxes installed; there are wireless modules that can be placed behind the switches!

There are also direct radio motors without a separate receiver, for example from Rademacher or Somfy.

I decided to use push buttons and additional wireless modules. This way, in case of a wireless failure, you still have the option to operate the system.

Hm, I would also prefer the solution with a push button, so you can lower the blinds when standing right next to them and don’t have the remote control in your hand.

The boxes and motors have already been installed by the developer. I’ll have to check later if they are deep enough. Does it make sense to retrofit the motors instead of the boxes, if possible? As far as I know, the installed motors are from Somfy.

Which brand would you recommend for the wireless system? I found something about Gira eNet online. The switches are also installed by Gira. How is the price-performance ratio?

Can you also control the blinds centrally via wireless? Is there a solution for that as well?
