Hello everyone,
We are currently building our end townhouse and are generally very satisfied.
The only issue is the awkwardly designed kitchen (see attached floor plan). We would like to have a larger kitchen.
We appreciate any ideas and are even willing to give up the guest toilet if that is possible.
Did I forget anything?
Looking forward to your responses.
Best regards,
Ouissam

Is there going to be an answer? Sorry, I was still out...
Unfortunately, the garage is connected sideways to another garage, so that won’t work either...
Thank you

We initially considered that too, but I don’t think it would work because the neighborhood has to look uniform right from the start. Still, good idea… thanks.Does that mean the front door and even the guest bathroom window have to stay exactly where they are? Regardless of whether there is a toilet or not?For me, a large kitchen is definitely more important than a third or fourth bathroom. So here is a version without a bathroom where all the windows and the front door stay in their original positions. This results in a nice, spacious entrance area and a significantly bigger kitchen. Of course, the stove and refrigerator would need to be relocated. If it were my house, I would put the guest bathroom in the basement right next to the stairwell, so it wouldn’t be far at all. And every staircase adds years to your life.
You would then have 3 toilets in the house—if that’s not enough! In a small, narrow terraced house, you have to make some compromises.

Aphrodithe24 Apr 2020 10:03#10 presented a very good floor plan that was completely overlooked. In my opinion, having no toilet on the ground floor is a no-go! Every visitor would have to walk through the house if they need to use the bathroom.
I also really liked the floor plan in #10, but if all the terraced houses have to look the same from the outside, this kind of drastic change isn’t really possible. The visitor just has to go down the stairs from the dining table and then straight to the restroom. So they don’t have to walk through the entire house or private areas... But everyone really has their own opinion on this—some prioritize the kitchen, others the bathroom.
