schneckiHello everyone,
I’m sure someone here can help me. I’m currently trying to figure out if I can install a built-in refrigerator with a niche size of 122 cm (48 inches) using a sliding door system behind two connected 60 cm (24 inches) cabinet fronts, or if the hinges of the front panels need to be positioned above and below the refrigerator door itself. (The refrigerator door is about 118 cm (46.5 inches) high.)
Thanks and best regards from schnecki

IKEA-Experte7 Aug 2014 19:09Hello, 120 cm (47 inches) for the door is quite tight. How exactly do you plan to position the refrigerator and then properly cover everything above and below it?
Hello Ikea expert,
Below there is a drawer with a 40cm (16 inches) front height. So if necessary, I can lower the base for the refrigerator by one grid level and then possibly place something under the refrigerator to achieve the correct height. Above, I was thinking of a regular door, but if needed, a lift-up hinge could be used there as well to cover the refrigerator unit.
