Hello everyone,
Today, I noticed by chance that the water pressure of our air-to-water heat pump is dropping toward 1 bar. Our heating technician last refilled it on September 3, 2017.
I always thought that a heating system is a closed circuit and therefore loses little to no water. Since I don’t know what the pressure level was after the last refill, I’m wondering if this kind of behavior is normal?

Best regards,

Yes, even in a closed system, heating installations lose water. The reasons are varied, but mainly it is due to leaks at the connection points.

The pressure your system needs to operate optimally can be found in the installation/user manual of the device.
