Hello, I am currently in the final stages of planning and I am considering reducing our bathroom by about 20cm (8 inches) in favor of the hallway on the upper floor (narrowest point 70cm (28 inches)). The current bathroom size is 277 x 367cm (109 x 145 inches), so now I need to work on the bathroom layout.

1. Option: Bathtub on the left (room length 257cm (101 inches))
2. Option: Bathtub on the right (room length 257cm (101 inches))
3. Option: Bathtub on the right (room length 277cm (109 inches))

What do you think makes more sense? Do you believe the bathroom will still be sufficiently sized with the 20cm (8 inches) reduction? The bathroom will be used by four people, but usually not at the same time.

Best regards

I like option 1 best.

Thank you. Do you think the space between the shower wall and the bathtub will be sufficient? I have planned for the bathtub to be 170 x 75 cm (67 x 30 inches).

According to your plan, you have about 70cm (28 inches) there. Take two pieces of rope and a tape measure and lay it out as a corridor. That should be more than enough in my opinion. Hooks for bathrobes or towels will be placed on the outside of the shower wall. That will also be ergonomically convenient. Karsten

The idea of hooks for towels is great! Do I need to add anything to the 75cm (30 inches) width for the fittings?

Possibly drywall construction for the installation.
