For our new single-family home construction, we are considering outsourcing the entire plumbing service from the general contractor and managing the bathrooms ourselves. In this regard, we would like to gather information on which plumbing partners are suitable in the greater Cologne area. There are many "specialists" in this field. Finding a good balance between price and performance is important to us.
Perhaps someone has had a positive experience with a company.
Since a suitable company may not necessarily have a bathroom showroom, it would also be helpful to know where we can visit a large exhibition to get ideas.
What we are looking for is a high-quality bathroom setup, without it necessarily having to be the latest designer sink from the newest collection (and the corresponding additional costs).
Initially, we considered ordering plumbing fixtures from an online retailer like R..... and then just hiring someone for the installation; however, the general contractor said this could be risky, as who would be liable if the externally purchased toilet breaks during installation…

But I think the installation service shouldn’t be overestimated either. It’s basically just a brokerage and separate from the product purchase. The big question with something like this is who is liable if the installer incorrectly fastens the toilet and it cracks or something similar... These are plumbing companies like any other. The difference is they charge for the work itself, not for brokering sanitary fixtures.
The bathroom design will likely be based on the floor plan, so I would simply follow up on that.

But you often hear that it’s not possible because, due to high demand, tradespeople only focus on jobs where they also make the sales.
Maybe Reuter is an exception.
Wouldn’t you feel uneasy about having the entire bathroom completed this way? Including tiling and everything else?

Including tiles and everything else? Sanitary installations and tiling are two different trades. While there should be coordination between them, I don’t see any problem.
Ultimately, it’s about the final installation in the bathroom; the rough-in installation will be done by the general contractor.

However, I don't think the installation service should be overestimated. It’s basically just a referral and separate from the product purchase. It’s similar to the kitchen installation service offered by IKEA.
Regular companies, which are suggested by Reuter (IKEA) after prior arrangement, without any official business relationship—the one sells more, the other gets the jobs.
If I were you, I would find a trusted tradesperson to handle everything together.
