I own a 2-seat Karlstad genuine leather sofa, purchased in 2009. For months, I have been searching for an attached chaise longue, which Ikea no longer offers. Now I found a used one online. It was also purchased in 2009.

Question: Do all chaise longues fit the Karlstad sofa? The model description on the receipt of the chaise longue I found online is "Karlstad Reca freist." Does this "freist" mean that this chaise longue is freestanding only and cannot be connected to the sofa?

Hello, I can only tell you that at that time a chaise lounge with an armrest and a freestanding chaise lounge were sold. Maybe the one meant to be attached has holes in the upholstery so it can be screwed on.
