Hello Forum!
We have been looking for a good solution to pass a large number of thin cables through an exterior wall. The available RDS cable glands usually have only 2, 4, or 5 holes. If we want to run about 15 cables, we would need 3 core drillings... Most of these cables are photovoltaic cables, multiple individual strings, both positive and negative... so it adds up.
Is it possible to just drill many small holes as shown in the attachment for a cable entry like this? Would it still be sealed properly?
Thanks!

Would that be watertight then? No.
Is the question serious? That’s why a sealing insert costs more than just a piece of rubber. A quick search for Doyma sealing rings already showed standard inserts for up to 9 cables even in small core drillings. Two of those and you’re done.
