Does this look good?

223.5mm (8.8 inches) thick doors in rooms with a height of 263cm (8 feet 7.4 inches) – or are the doors visually too large for the room?

Well, 180 m2 (1937 sq ft) is not small 🙂
But of course, it’s not a mansion either.

Have you considered the additional costs?
Or does it not matter?

In our two-story single-family house, we have quite high ceiling heights (ground floor: 258cm (102 inches); upper floor: 267cm (105 inches)). However, the interior doors are of standard height (2m (79 inches)?).

Honestly, I would now prefer taller doors. Not because we are particularly tall (1.87m (6 ft 2 in) / 1.74m (5 ft 8.5 in) / 0.85m (2 ft 9.5 in)), but for aesthetic reasons and possibly more comfort for "tall" guests. We have a friend who is just under 2m (6 ft 7 in).

We didn’t really consider door height during the construction process or before. It simply wasn’t on our radar. Even our construction manager never brought up the topic... and if he had, I’m not sure whether we would have chosen a different door height anyway.

Just because of the guests’ height, it probably isn’t necessary.
We (him just under 2 meters (6 ft 7 in), and me just over 1.8 meters (6 ft)) recently visited a friend. His door frames are only 1.80 meters (5 ft 11 in) tall (old house). My partner had no problems, but I bumped my head on EVERY door frame. With a very simple reason: I’m used to walking through every doorway without ducking. My partner, on the other hand, is used to automatically lowering his head (at home we even have a door frame only 1.90 meters (6 ft 3 in) tall).

That said, I find higher doors much more comfortable overall. It already makes a difference if you just want to carry a slightly taller plant pot 😀 It just has to visually match the ceiling height.

I didn't expect you to start a separate thread on this and already replied to you here: https://www.hausbau-forum.de/threads/welche-innentueren-groesse-90-oder-100-cm-211-cm.27331/page-6#post-297289 (with the conclusion "in favor of 213 cm (84 inches)").

Our rooms are 2.65 m (8 ft 8 in) high. The doors are floor-to-ceiling height (so only about 5 cm (2 inches) lower than the ceiling). It looks great! Of course, the doors appear narrow in proportion, but that also makes them elegant. Whether the significant extra cost is worth it? Well, you look at them every day...
