Hello everyone,
First of all, big compliments to the forum and the community!
We have been homeowners for some time now. Unfortunately, we are building 400km (250 miles) away, so we cannot check everything ourselves on site and rely on friends and acquaintances to oversee the work when we are not there.
Now we have noticed that the rafters above the collar beam are not (or no longer) flush. Is this normal, for example as an expansion gap, or should we be concerned? I have attached some pictures. In my opinion, it wasn’t very noticeable at the beginning.

I've attached some pictures. The pictures don’t show any indication that anything is out of alignment; the part you are probably referring to is the ridge beam. The gap might be intended as an expansion joint and is likely functioning as such. If it was previously held in place by the Siemens air hook, it is definitely secure now with the gable structure below.https://www.instagram.com/11antgmxde/
