ᐅ Questions During the Detailed Design and Construction Planning Phase

RedsonicHello everyone,
Yesterday, I picked up our building permit, and I also have the detailed construction plans. I would like some advice from you on a few points:
Waste Ventilation Pipes
I noticed in our plans some boxed-in wall corners that contain ventilation pipes for the toilet, bathtub, etc. I don’t find that visually appealing, and I haven’t seen this on any house visits before. Is there a better way to handle this? Why do we need so many pipes (I read somewhere that they can compensate distances up to 15m (50 feet))? Also, I’m not happy with the pipes on the roof. Could this be done through wall grilles in the façade instead?
Water Connection in the Garage
Our garage will be built 2.70m (9 feet) away from the house. I thought it would be nice to have a separate sink there. Can I simply have a pipe run out for that? How does the wastewater work in this case? Ideally, I would like it to run through the garden water meter.
Outdoor Faucet
Where would you place it? Installing it at the corner of the house facing the garden apparently costs extra. I’m also wondering if there could be water noise heard inside the living room. Or is it better to position it directly by the utility room?
Glazing
I want laminated safety glass (VSG). What class should I choose if I want burglary protection?
Gas Line
We have a brine-water heat pump. However, it’s from Viessmann, so I’m uncertain about its lifespan. I like having options. That means I want to keep the possibility open to remove the heat pump someday if, for example, electricity becomes too expensive and install a gas boiler instead. Should I ask to have a length of empty conduit installed for gas in the foundation slab, or can that be retrofitted later if needed?
Attached are our plans for your information. If you notice anything else, feel free to say so. The plans are now also submitted with the building savings contract.
Regards, Redsonic
