Thomas Seitz22 Dec 2024 16:20We are replacing our old oil heating system with a new pellet heating system. Our house has two separate living units, both of which we occupy ourselves (parents on the ground floor, children upstairs).
In addition to the basic subsidy of €45,000 * 30% = €13,500, we will also receive an emissions bonus of €2,500.
Since we are also installing a domestic hot water heat pump, we will be granted the climate acceleration bonus.
My question is, can I apply for the climate acceleration bonus for each living unit separately (so twice)?
If so, I should be allowed to submit two applications to receive 2 * €4,500 = €9,000... Or am I misunderstanding something?

If rented out, I wouldn’t be using the living unit myself.
And when you enter exactly these factors into common subsidy calculators, the funding amount always comes out to €25,000 (for a self-occupied living unit, it was €20,500 here).
We’ve gone ahead and submitted two applications... I can’t explain it any other way.

Then I should be able to submit two applications to receive 2 * €4,500 = €9,000... Or am I mistaken? No, only one dwelling is owner-occupied. The second unit is formally used by third parties, regardless of whether it is rented or used without charge.
The climate acceleration bonus is granted solely for the owner-occupied dwelling.
Unfortunately, as an owner and occupant in a multi-family house, you only receive the subsidy once.
