Altbau193014 May 2017 12:30We are taking over a family house from 1930 that is in good condition, but we still want to carry out some renovations.
Among other things, the windows and two roofs, including insulation (1x main house, 1x extension).
- Replace and insulate 1x roof (main house) with 90 sqm (970 sq ft) of roof area, including one standard Velux window on each roof side. Current roofing material is slate, but this is not mandatory.
- Replace and insulate 1x roof (extension) with 60 sqm (650 sq ft) of roof area, without windows. Current roofing material is also slate, but this is not mandatory.
- 11 new uPVC windows with roller shutters/boxes, estimated at €1000 per window including all work by a specialist company.
During a consultation with the window company, we were informed that installing triple-glazed windows would require the façade to be insulated as well, which we want to avoid if possible (the exterior walls are 60 cm (24 inches) thick slate). Therefore, we plan to install double-glazed windows with the following specifications:
Burglary resistance class RC2, frame insulation value: 1.3 W/(m²·K), whole window insulation value: 1.0 W/(m²·K).
Two bathrooms will also be renovated. The heating system, installed in 1999, will remain unchanged.
Does anyone here have an idea of the cost for the roof renovation if everything is done by one company?
What kind of reimbursements or subsidies could we expect for this project?
Thanks for any advice!
