HolzStreich18 Apr 2014 01:38Hello everyone,
I’m planning to buy a new bed (140cm x 200cm) (55 inches x 79 inches) and I’m having trouble deciding between the Laxeby and Lovund slatted frames, or I’m just not sure.
On the IKEA website, it looks like the 140cm (55 inches) version of the Laxeby is meant for two people, right? I usually sleep alone and in the middle, so would it probably be unsuitable?
The Lovund, on the other hand, is the 140cm (55 inches) size designed for one person, correct?
I also want to get a latex mattress, but I’m undecided.
Either the MORGEDAL, MATRAND, MYRBACKA, or MORGONGÅVA — basically the whole range.
I’m not sure if my local IKEA has all of them available to try out, so I’d rather ask you before I’m left confused in the store. Is any of them particularly bad or good? Or does the quality generally improve with the price?
I just want some guidance since trying them out in the store is always different from actually sleeping on them at home for a full night.
Thanks in advance to everyone who takes the time to help 😀

schwedenfan214 Jun 2014 17:33Hello everyone,
I'm planning to buy a new bed (140cm x 200cm (55 inches x 79 inches)) and can't decide between the Laxeby and Lovund slatted bed bases, or I'm not sure.
On the IKEA website, it looks like the 140cm (55 inches) version of the Laxeby is meant for two people, right? I usually sleep alone and in the middle, so would it probably be unsuitable?
On the other hand, the Lovund in the 140cm (55 inches) size is designed for one person, correct?
I also want to get a latex mattress but I'm undecided.
Either the MORGEDAL, MATRAND, MYRBACKA, or MORGONGÅVA, basically the whole range.
I don’t know if my IKEA store has all of these available to try out, so I’d rather ask you before I stand confused in the store. Is any of them particularly bad or good? Or do they generally improve consistently with higher price?
Just so I have some kind of reference, trying them in the store is always quite different from sleeping on them properly overnight at home.
Thanks in advance to everyone who takes the time to help 😀I'm facing the same choice right now. Which one did you go with, and are you happy with your decision? I might consider buying this one as well.

Hubbabubba17 Jun 2014 13:28I was generally advised against latex mattresses... Overall, I didn’t find the mattresses at IKEA very good. We bought ours at the Danish bed store... Unfortunately, I can’t say anything about the IKEA slatted bed base / bed frame...
