Hello, since we are no longer building a new house, as I mentioned in another thread, we are now looking for another place to live. For this purpose, we are viewing a prefab house this week that is heated with marble panels, has solar thermal systems for domestic hot water, and calls itself an energy-saving house with an energy value of 47 kWh.

I have a question about this combination: is it a good setup?

Thank you very much in advance.

The term “energy value” doesn’t match the unit. Energy is measured in kWh, while kW refers to power! 😉

“Marble slabs” suggest an electric direct heating system! This would not be a sensible investment in terms of low running costs in the future. The property is probably not for sale without a reason. 😉

Thank you for your response, I suspected that already. I looked it up and found out that the people would actually have a huge electricity bill. Sorry, I forgot the “h” in the energy value.
But I don’t think it’s an option anyway—it has no balcony, no basement, and if you had to do something else to keep it warm and save costs, you would have to invest a lot of money. It is supposed to cost 229,000 and would only have 120 m² (1,292 sq ft) of living space.
Good luck

Hello €uro,

That depends ... in many places these radiant heating systems operate under the heat pump tariff 😉

Whether that will remain the case is highly questionable. Where there is no complainant, there is no judge. 😉
However, this basically does not change the fact that direct electric heating usually becomes a money pit in normal cases (no PV).

Hmm... thanks, well, unfortunately there isn’t much information available on the marble slab heating system. Good luck.
