Hello everyone,

What experiences have you had with PVC flooring?
I want to install a luxury vinyl floor in the bathroom.
From what I have read so far, an online supplier offers the desired flooring with a 0.3mm (0.01 inch) wear layer. How important is the thickness of the wear layer?

Thank you very much for your input.

But I can do that with laminate flooring as well. I’m also not a fan of PVC flooring. I don’t like the plasticizers used in that type of flooring.

If you buy good quality laminate flooring, there is no need for PVC; Jonas is already right about that.

These are completely different worlds. There are also PVC floors that, like laminate, convincingly imitate natural materials. PVC is completely resistant to moisture; laminate can be damaged by improper cleaning techniques.

It is true that PVC generally contains toxic components; however, this is not an issue during its use but becomes a concern during disposal and in the event of a fire.
