Hello building experts!

I am hoping to get advice from a professional or specialist familiar with painting or plastering techniques.

At the end of last year, we renovated our bathroom and had the walls finished using Pandomo wall technique. However, only about five months later, when removing the mirror by chance, we noticed the wall finish has faded and also lost the “warmth” of the color (see photos).

Open cables on the wall next to radiator and power outlet indoors.

Beige interior wall, hand touching square color sample board

Hand indicating open cable installation next to radiator and power outlet on yellow wall

Person touching wall panel next to power outlet; loose electrical wiring and towel radiator visible

Can anyone with experience say whether fading of this kind of plaster finish is normal, especially after such a short time, and whether the degree of fading shown in the photos would justify reporting it as a defect?

We are quite disappointed and concerned that the finish might continue to fade. You could repaint a regular painted wall, but with this technique, no corrections seem possible.

Thank you in advance for your replies :-)

Unfortunately, it is an original color shade from the Pandomo palette, mixed according to the recipe. It is also the lightest shade, so any lightening is particularly noticeable.

Try making a complaint directly to the manufacturer. You have photos to show the difference. It might help. However, you shouldn’t get upset or stressed if the defect is not acknowledged. After all, you wouldn’t have noticed it if you hadn’t removed the mirror. You liked the finish last week (or whenever you noticed it), right?

Unfortunately, that doesn’t help, I know that feeling^^
It’s like a single paving stone sticking up 5mm (0.2 inches). Nobody else notices it, nobody sees it, but I see it every single day when I drive into the driveway... 😀
