Good evening dear forum,
I have a roughly 35cm (14 inches) thick column in my penthouse apartment located at a 90° window corner. Since this concrete column has some scars, I applied a thin layer of Pufas filler and then sanded it with sanding mesh. The challenge at the back is that there is only 10cm (4 inches) of space due to the window corner, so filling is done blindly. I check the sanding with a mirror.
The surface feels smooth when running a hand over it, but there are still spots where the concrete shows through. When I apply filler there, I end up sanding through somewhere else. Although everything is very smooth, I’m not sure if dents will be visible after painting.
What do you recommend, which looks more elegant?
- painting the column with silk-matte or glossy paint
- or using dispersion wall paint like on the walls
Best regards,
Frank
