ᐅ Land Purchase / Demolition of the Old House: What Are the Next Steps?

We want to build on a plot of land where there is already a house with a barn. We want to have it demolished, and the seller has agreed to cover the costs.

However, we are unsure because everyone at the local authority seems to say something different about whether rebuilding is even allowed there, and what exactly can be built and how.

And once I know that, what are the next steps???

If you already own the plot of land, have a soil survey conducted to determine what can be built. Also, check how the surrounding area is developed or if construction must comply with Section 34 (general building permission).

Has the plot been officially surveyed? If not, have this done as well.
