Hello,

Three years ago, I renovated an older house to the point where I installed underfloor heating, electric shutters, etc., and during that process, I also had all the electrical wiring renewed.

The electrician routed "all" cables through conduit (I’m not entirely sure if it was really 100% of them or if some still run directly inside the walls, but that can be checked later).

Since I’m somewhat tech-savvy, I would now like to control all the shutters, lights, and so on centrally from a PC, so that shutters operate at certain times, I can make sure all lights are off when leaving the house, etc.

For this, I would like to use the fairly affordable Z-Bus system, which seems fully sufficient in terms of price and functionality for private homes. The problem is that it requires 4-core cables (3 cores for the load and 1 for the Z-Bus itself), whereas in our house, of course, only 3-core cables are installed.

Is it possible to easily replace these cables through the existing conduits later on, or is it very time-consuming to get the cables out of the conduits? If this can be done without opening the walls, I would seriously consider it. If it means breaking open the walls, I would probably wait and only do it during a necessary renovation (like wallpapering or something similar). 😉

Thank you for your opinions and best regards,

Dirk
