ᐅ Tension cord in Venetian blind has snapped. Is this covered under warranty by the builder/developer?

Hello everyone,
We still have one year of warranty left before the 5-year period expires.
Now, a drawstring of the blinds has broken, and they move up and down unevenly.
Our builder refuses to cover this under warranty because it is considered a movable part.
The repair, including disassembly, is estimated to cost around 600 euros.
Now my questions to you: Wouldn’t something like this be covered under the builder’s warranty?
We had a turnkey contract.

However, I don’t think it falls under the warranty. Have a look at your contract – the exceptions are usually listed there. From my understanding and knowledge, some components are only covered by a 2-year warranty, specifically those that are in constant use and exposed to influences such as human interaction or wind forces (or, for example, silicone joints aging over time).

A construction defect is a different category.
The offer is quite something. Charging per unit for assembly/repair but billing by the hour... yeah, right, it doesn’t get less transparent than that. So the single assembly might end up costing twice as much, or what?
If they want to bill hourly, then the hourly rate needs to be fixed. Or they should offer a flat rate (per unit...).
That said, €330 net for assembly... that’s two people working three hours each at €55 net per hour. Quite an effort for a broken little strap, isn’t it?
I would get another quote.
