Hello dear forum members,

we want to temporarily divide part of a room as simply as possible using a lightweight partition wall. Without soundproofing, insulation, etc., but possibly including a passage door.

How would you achieve this most easily?

Thank you for your advice!

You already provided the answer yourself:

The passage door requires a certain level of stability. If you want to build a drywall partition using wood or metal stud profiles, you need to fix them to the walls as well as at the top and bottom in some way. If you can secure at least three sides with anchors, you might consider a removable adhesive connection on the floor (silicone?). My brother once did something like this in a rental apartment, but I don’t know how it was fixed. The floor had tiles, so drilling was certainly not an option.

There are special drywall profiles for doors. Fastening is necessary anyway (with screws) for the UW/CW profiles, and then there are also reinforcement or lintel profiles for the door openings.

Thanks for the feedback,

there is still a sloped roof up to the knee wall. I think I will have to manage this with U-profiles and drywall panels.
I plan to screw them to the ceiling and the roof slope, and fix them to the floor, which is parquet, either with double-sided tape or just a few screws.
If there should be a door after all, I will probably need to screw properly in that area to ensure stability.
The parquet has a lot of knots. The drill holes could then be concealed after removing the wall.

Best regards
