Hello, I am currently working on building my terrace. A WPC decking is planned. First, the borders need to be installed. How would you create the slope according to the attached sketch? Thanks for your feedback.

The angled C does not bother us; the terrace, including the covered area, has a depth of 4.80 m (16 feet). We have already arranged our garden furniture for a test setup. In the covered area, we plan to work with a 0% slope to avoid any edges.

We also have a depth of 4.60 m (15 ft), and sometimes up to 12 people sit at the table. For shade, we use an electric sun sail above it.

Ah, interesting, do you have a step at the floor-to-ceiling window due to the slope?

Yes, 2cm (0.8 inches) at the right door,
in your case, the highest point would be under the porch roof.
Make sure there is a slope everywhere; the water must drain away from the house during heavy rain.
The doors and windows are not waterproof. If water stands on the outside, it will also enter inside.

That’s not correct. Water—even during heavy rain—drains away between the decking boards. Of course, it must be properly drained underneath. Try to see how much water stays on a flat decking board. There won’t be any puddles.

Hüstl, we have a sealed deck, meaning there are seals between the boards.
Because no dirt gets in,
no weeds grow, and nothing that falls through disappears.
