Hello everyone,

Are there proper solutions to ensure that the drainage membrane or the perimeter insulation is no longer visible and also does not get damp from above due to backflow? The lower part (soil level) has been waterproofed using torch-on membranes and sealing slurry. Would closing profiles on the drainage membrane combined with a gravel strip be advisable here?

Thank you

What does the wall construction look like? How was the waterproofing done? Base coat plaster?

Normally, it looks like this at the end. Of course, the wall is waterproofed, then base coat plaster (and/or waterproof slurry) is applied, the area is backfilled with soil, followed by gravel. The drainage sheet is simply cut to fit. Water running behind it is not an issue.

Thank you very much for your feedback.
We have consulted a professional on site. Everything seems to be in order, just not yet finished, which makes it a bit confusing for me as a layperson.

Will soil still be added there? Or will it remain at this level?

Someone must have made some plans...

It will be filled in and surrounded by gravel to protect against dirt splashes.
