ᐅ Incentives for Photovoltaic Systems – Easter Package

Hi everyone,

I’m starting a general discussion thread about Habeck’s photovoltaic Easter package. We are currently in the new construction phase and are considering waiting until all the details are clear. If it becomes interesting, do you have any information—or would you start right away? Without higher self-consumption, the topic of photovoltaics is becoming less and less attractive. I’ll quote an article on the subject:

“For private new builds, the coalition government aims to make the installation of photovoltaic systems standard. To this end, Habeck promised better funding rates and simplified use of photovoltaics.”

At first, I thought the Easter package mainly referred to commercial systems, but apparently, there is also support available for private homeowners.

I believe the support for full-feed-in systems is quite sensible! This allows photovoltaic systems on garages, outbuildings, and halls to be economically built and operated again, with a return of about 5%. These systems simply wouldn’t exist otherwise. So, this definitely makes sense.

Now, some may complain that there are no improvements for self-consumption systems. But honestly, these 8–15 kWp systems work well with self-consumption even with a compensation rate of 6.85 cents. Depending on self-consumption, using the energy yourself can even be more advantageous than full feed-in.

For example, I calculated that the break-even point for my system is at 4,800 kWh of self-consumption. So despite the significant increase in the full-feed-in tariff, I am still better off with my 6.85 cents.

Is your system new or has it been operating for a while?

Our best offer so far (out of 5) for a photovoltaic system is €13,000 for 7 kWp.
We’re going back and forth, but it hardly seems worthwhile.
So far, we consume 1,500 kWh. If we produce about one-third of that ourselves, around 500 kWh, we save €150 per year.
There would have to be a much higher feed-in tariff of about 6 cents for it to make sense.
Or a significantly larger self-consumption through electric cars or something similar.

Wow, but that includes the full installation, right? I bought my system 6 weeks ago. It’s 8.4 kWp (without a battery) for 7,000€. Everything is included except the smart energy meter.

Yes, it really includes everything. Just the scaffolding alone costs 1000€ (about 1100 USD) including assembly and dismantling.
The price differences always surprise me.

Strongly dependent on the region and the workload of the companies.
Sometimes these are more like "defensive offers" rather than actual "offers."
