Hello everyone,
since I am not an expert in this field and want to avoid making mistakes, I would like to know your opinion.
We have purchased a newly built house from a developer, and currently the electrician is working on the property. A high-voltage connection is planned for the garage. However, an electric or hybrid car is not planned within the next 1-2 years. Does it make sense to have a wall box installed right away because of the current incentives? At least that is what the electrician suggested.
Or is just running the cable enough for now (is there any funding for that)? How would you proceed?
Thanks for your advice.

Could you please tell me your exact model? ThanksSure. Alfen Single Proline. It’s not exactly cheap, but it’s the requirement from my employer for an electric or hybrid vehicle.

It's not particularly cheap, but my employer's requirement for an electric car (or hybrid). I've found my preferred wallbox, or rather the best value for money. It will be the easee home.

Currently, there is still the KFW subsidy program, but according to SAB, Saxony plans to introduce something new in two weeks; however, the details are not yet clear.
For the KFW subsidy, I first have to apply online and only then place the order with the electrician, right?
Wow, what a mess this all is... 😀

My goodness, what a mess..... 😀 - with a voucher code, 777€ (about $840) so including installation by an electrician just over 900€ (about $975)
- Wi-Fi and free 4G
- RFID
- 22 kWh (about 79.2 MJ)
- lightweight and compact
- available in 4 colors
- with Type 2 socket / compatible with new plug systems for future-proofing
- I have an EV with CHAdeMO and Type 1 plugs; since I have a Type 2 to Type 1 charging cable, I can already charge my current EV at 3.7 kWh (about 12.6 MJ) with this wallbox
- good reviews
- easy to install
- the Home version can be expanded to 3 wallboxes and settings can be shared via chargeberry
For the price, I haven’t found any other option except this wallbox from Norway with so many features.
See screenshot....
....and it is available for immediate delivery.

pagoni202018 May 2021 18:52Great, thank you very much. A product from Norway appeals to me even more as a friend of Norway, so I’ll check how I can get it!
So, I first apply for the Kfw440 online and then purchase this wallbox, having it installed by an electrician afterwards, right?
Can I do this independently of the house construction progress, or is there something I need to consider?

Can I do this independently of the house’s construction progress, or do I need to consider anything? You can’t go wrong with this unit. As I said before, it is definitely my best value-for-money winner.
Apply for the subsidy; if you haven’t identified yourself yet, do so with video identification. Buy the wallbox, then have it installed by an electrician.
Confirm purchase and installation in the KfW portal to receive the grant.
But don’t forget: you must have photovoltaic solar panels or a green energy tariff! This means the confirmation usually happens after moving in.
I’m not sure anymore, but you can apply now and then have 9–12 months to provide all the proofs.
