Hello everyone,
I will start installing the screed insulation in the next few days. I have the following problem. My perimeter insulation strip is 15cm (6 inches) wide. The floor construction has a height of 15cm (6 inches) and 17cm (7 inches).
How should I install the perimeter insulation strip? Can I lay the first layer of insulation/impact sound insulation first, then install the perimeter strip, and afterward the fixing panels, or does the perimeter insulation need to reach all the way down to the raw concrete floor?
Thanks for your help.

Hello questioner.
The answer from "readytorumble" might have been given off the cuff, but it is correct!
According to the standard, the edge strip (screed edge strip) must, in the case of single-layer insulation, extend down to the load-bearing substrate (note this refers to the concrete slab). For multi-layer insulation (note this is the situation we have reduced to the facts, and although simplified, it is technically accurate), the edge strip must be installed before applying the impact sound insulation layer and secured against unintended displacement along the wall surface.
