We are having difficulties assembling Besta. We have it as a drawer cabinet with the Inreda full-extension drawers. In 50% of the drawers, there is already scratching when inserting them into the slides. Can anyone help us? Everything is level, and the slides are installed correctly.

Supergrobi_20021 Sep 2010 19:02The same problem still persists...
The solution to leave out the screw in the middle doesn’t work for me because the drawer tilts forward or backward when pulled out or pushed in.
The automatic self-closing mechanism doesn’t work at all :eek ((
Fixing it with a countersunk screw in the middle also didn’t achieve the desired result.
The complaint website doesn’t work either (Database Error)…
Damn day thanks to IKEA

If so, swap them with the pan head screws, then everything will be fine...

Supergrobi_20022 Sep 2010 13:02Hi Maverick,
I tested the countersunk screws and used a countersink tool to achieve the appropriate recess depth. This solved the issue of the screws rubbing.
However, the drawer still doesn’t close properly; it becomes difficult to move halfway, and the automatic pull-in at the end doesn’t work at all. Without the drawer, everything operates smoothly and easily… I’m still investigating.
By the way – how do I open the drawer without a handle???
Thank you very much and best regards

Maverick18543 Sep 2010 07:54I asked around:
There is a problem with the drawers. When did you buy them? Recently?
If so, take them out and go to IKEA. Get a refund or a voucher. Then you can either buy something else right away or wait until the drawers are back in stock. However, that probably won’t be soon. The item has been completely discontinued. If you do find some at your local IKEA, test the drawers immediately after purchase to see if they are different. Otherwise, you’ll have the same problem again. But the drawers shouldn’t still be on the shelves.
No need to worry, they will be back.

turbomensch3 Sep 2010 09:58Hello, I’m new here and was actually planning to buy Besta with Inreda full-extension drawers today, but now I’m reading about problems.
Is it possible that the issue with the full-extension drawers only affects the 40cm (16 inch) deep drawers? The 49cm (19 inch) full-extension drawer is still available on IKEA online, while the 40cm (16 inch) full-extension drawer no longer seems to be offered...?

Maverick18543 Sep 2010 11:37Hold off on selling for now, as there seems to be a product defect. Wait a few weeks, and the issue will likely be resolved.
