I registered here because, apart from sending an email to Ikea that hasn’t been answered, I don’t know who else could help me.
I have a problem with the doors of my Bestå wardrobe unit.
This problem didn’t exist at first, but the wall to which the units are attached was renovated by the landlord. After I reinstalled the units, the doors no longer close as they used to.
The doors are supposed to slow down near the end of closing (about 5cm (2 inches)) thanks to the hinges, then gently slide shut.
Unfortunately, the doors now get stuck and only close if I push them hard by hand.
I have already tried adjusting all the calibration screws, but nothing has worked so far.
The units are level and properly aligned.
What else can I do?
Thank you and best regards,
Felix

Knallkörper9 Dec 2017 12:21What is the gap between the cabinet body and the door on the hinge side? It might help to adjust the door slightly outward here if it is too tight.
Thanks in advance for your tips, but unfortunately, none of them applied or I couldn’t find any mistakes there.
However, I found the solution!!!
If you look at the hinge from the inside, you’ll see a gray “plastic wing” that slows down the hinge when the door closes (this might sound a bit strange, but anyone sitting in front of it will understand what I mean).
The starting position of this part needs to be adjusted (basically the resistance of the closing mechanism).
Right next to it is a small slider (also made of gray plastic). With this, you can “disengage” the plastic wing, making it freely movable. Press the wing with your finger to the desired zero position (if the door closes poorly, move it further outward; if it closes too quickly, move it further inward), hold it there, and then slide the slider back to “save” the position.
I hope this helps others, as I couldn’t find this information in any manual or anywhere else on the internet.
